CNC Punching & Shearing
The 40,000 square foot sheet metal shop facility at York Haven Fabricators is equipped with a clean and dedicated shear/punch cell to perform CNC shearing as well as punching operations. We shear/punch a variety of sheet metal parts for the automotive, defense, and medical industries, as well as HVAC/automation equipment manufacturers. There is a team leader in charge of each machining center, ensuring attention-to-detail in every operation performed.
Shearing is done on an Adira CNC programmable shear with ¼” x 10’ capacity, which cuts metal slabs in line to manageable sizes while limiting waste. Cut blanks are put back on shelves for further punching, hardware insertion, or assembly operations. Besides, we do have a 66-ton Spartan Iron Worker that can notch, punch, and angle shear as well.
A pair of 45 station Amada 22-ton punch presses performs flawless punching on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Our Amada EM2510NT has a 50” X 100” table with tool repositioning options for performing multiple punching operations simultaneously. The Amada Pega 244 punch press can cut aluminum and stainless steel parts up to 0.250 inches in thickness. Additionally, both these machines have attachments to perform tapping operations too.
